Macro Snowflakes

We can’t see the real beauty of the snowflakes but the Russian photographer Alexey Kljatov has discovered the secret! Using a Canon Powershot A650 and a 44M-5 Helios lens from his old Zenit, he has captured every single details showing us them delicate symmetry, unknown to us till now. “I capture snowflakes at open balcony of my house, mostly on glass surface, lighted by LED flashlight from opposite side of glass, and sometimes in natural light, using dark woolen fabrics as background.”  An amazing and emotional project that make us discover the perfection of nature.

La vera bellezza dei fiocchi di neve non si può vedere ad occhio nudo ma il fotografo russo Alexey Kljatov ce ne svela il segreto! Grazie all’utilizzo di una Canon Powershot A650 e una lente 44M-5 Helios della sua vecchia Zenit è riuscito a catturarne ogni singolo dettaglio mostrandoci la loro delicata simmetria. “Sono solito catturare i fiocchi di neve su una superficie di vetro, illuminata con un flash LED dalla parte opposta, alcune volte però anche in luce naturale, usando del tessuto di lana come sfondo”.  Un progetto sorprendente ed emozionante che ci fa riscoprire la perfezione della natura.

Francesca travels the world capturing life at the moment, preserving that time forever. She moved to Bristol in 2010, where she studied and learnt the basics but it wasn't till a year later where her main education took place. It was in the street of Bristol and it's vibrant art scene.
