La vita di un supereroe può essere davvero dura, ancor di più con l’avanzare dell’età: il bambino si sveglia di notte, gli acciacchi dell’età iniziano a farsi sentire, i muscoli non sono più quelli di una volta, e così anche aprire un barattolo può diventare un’impresa. E in un attimo, ecco che la calzamaglia inizia ad evidenziare la pelle raggrinzita, la super-vista lascia il posto alla cateratta e non si riesce più a trattenere la vescica. L’artista svedese Andreas Englund ha “immortalato” momenti di vita quotidiana di un supereroe non più tanto “super”.

A superhero’s life can be really hard, and even harder after the big four-oh: the baby waking up in the middle of the night, old age ailments starting to show, muscles not so strong anymore, so much that even opening a jar can be a challenge; in a while, the leotard starts to highlight the puckered skin, super-eyesight is replaced by cataract, and bladder can’t be held. Swedish artist Andreas Englund captured everyday life moments of a superhero not so “super” anymore.
